Trina Woods, Doctor of Chiropractic, is a functional medicine practitioner. Functional medicine seeks to identify and address the root causes of disease, and views the body as one integrated system. Functional medicine provides chronic care management with the belief that diet, nutrition, and exposure to environmental toxins play central roles in the predisposition to illness.
Dr. Trina received her Bachelor of Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She then worked for two years at the Denver VA Hospital in the Thrombosis Research Lab, and two years in molecular biology research for Eppendorf 5 Prime in Boulder.
Dr. Trina received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. She is trained in primary care and is able to diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal as well as internal medicine ailments. After graduating from Chiropractic College, Dr. Trina practiced in Chicago and then returned home where she has been practicing since 2002 in Congress Park before opening Balanced Body Center. Balanced Body Center is located in the Beauvallon building located on 10th and Lincoln.
Dr. Trina specializes in chiropractic care for pediatrics and adults, acupuncture, clinical nutrition, and women’s health. She utilizes various chiropractic techniques including: applied kinesiology, diversified, drop, extremities, Activator, and energetic adjusting; TCM acupuncture and the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System.
Dr. Trina works closely with patients to address pain management, allergies, infertility, interstitial cystitis, PMS, digestive disorders, fatigue, colds and flu, and a variety of acute and chronic ailments. She is committed to helping her patients make every day lifestyle changes that will improve their health and prevent the onset of illness and disease.
